Kingsthorpe Grove Allotment Association
Welcome to the Kingsthorpe Grove Allotment Association Website

As a committee we'd like to welcome you to your brand new website. We thought it would be a great idea to create a website which we hope will improve communication between the committee and plot holders and also be a great source of information and ideas. The website is in its early stages but we hope to be able to use it to provide news, tips, information regarding commitee and AGM meetings and also forthcoming events plus lots more. We hope you wlll contribute by giving us your ideas and suggestions either by email at the address below or use the suggestion box at the allotment site; afterall you are all experts in growing the best fruit and vegetables!

Welcome from Paul Shaw Chairman

As a committee we are acutely aware of the importance of communicating with our members and have been putting in place methods to improve this situation. We have already started a regular newsletter and there is now a suggestion box on the side of the shop for you to post your comments. We have set up an email address to contact us on kg.allotments@virginmedia.com which several members have started to use. Now we have our own website which we hope you will all use. I am sure you will agree with me that the site looks professional and is easy to navigate.
You will see that there are a lot of articles on the website that are also in the newsletter, we have done this as we are aware that not all members will have internet access. Please check back to the site regularly as it will be updated and changed as we have new items to announce.
We are mindful at all times of the need to keep expenses at a minimum so this site is at present hosted on a free of charge host service.
I would like to give a personal vote of thanks to Lynne York and Karen and Ian Dickerson who have given up a lot of their free time to put this website together and to all members who have contributed articles.
Happy Gardening in cyberspace
Regards
Paul Shaw
Chairman

 Site Green Houses

You may have noticed the greenhouse at the bottom of the site next to the bee's. This has been donated by Rachel McHugh one of the committee members. The greenhouse is for plotholders wishing to help grow seedlings of flowers or vegetables to donate to raise funds at the Plant Sale or Open Day. A second greenhouse has also been donated and should be erected soon.
